This particular model was sold on ebay by George’s Good Stuff in August 2006 for £785 in the following condition:
All the beautiful models in this very hard to find set are in immaculate mint condition, I can’t find a mark on any of them – the whole set looks like it has never been played with. It’s in absolutely pristine condition, an absolute stunner, exactly how it left the Corgi factory more than 40 years ago, with fully operating fold-down ramps and sliding doors. There’s even the original instruction label on how to operate the two-tier transporter still fastened to the rear of the top ramp.
The whole beautiful set comes in its absolutely superb complete original outer box, which is virtually perfect, showing only the slightest age wear and a trio of very small price label light surface marks on the top lid, but overall very crisp, clean, bright and strong and 100 per cent complete and intact, with no splits or creases anywhere – one of the best boxes you’ll find anywhere for such a rare set.
Inside is all the original inner card packing to hold the transporter and four boxed racing cars in place, plus both dummy red-and-yellow Corgi boxes and there is also the correct early Join The Corgi Model Club slip inside all four car model boxes.
